She was born in Jamestown and was a member of Twin Falls United Methodist Church in Munroe Falls, Ohio. Surviving are a son, Clare Butts of Munroe Falls; two grandsons: Christopher Butts of Cuyahoga Falls and Adam Butts of Munroe Falls; a great-grandson; two brothers: Steve Davis of Florida and Robert Davis of Bemus Point; and a sister, Marjorie Courtney of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Tessler; a son, James Butts; a brother, Calvin Davis; and two sisters: Elizabeth Butts and Meredith Bliss. A service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Redmon Funeral Home in Stow, Ohio. The Rev. Michael Swab will officiate.
