Dean, 74, of 414 Winsor St., died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday May 8, 2005, in the Heritage Green Health Care Center. A lifelong area resident, she was born April 19, 1931, in Jamestown, the daughter of John and Helen Sigular Bush. In earlier years, she had been an aide for several area nursing homes. An avid pool player for 26 years, she and her women’s pool league team had once attended a national pool tournament in Las Vegas. Helen also greatly enjoyed bingo. She will be sadly missed by her companion Ralph Pratt’s five children: Ralph III, Tina, and Donald Pratt, Ethel Hall and Patricia Raynor; and a sister, Delores Wallace. Surviving are five daughters: Gloria Card of West Ellicott, Debbie Dean of Jamestown, and Donna Seekings, Linda Fraley and Cathy Kennedy, all of Sherman; a son, Ronald Dean of Sharon, Pa.; 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Beverly Martin and Susan Harrier, both of Jamestown; a brother, John Bush of Jamestown; and her companion of 25 years, Ralph R. Pratt Jr. of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Dean, who died in February 1980; a son Stephen W. Dean, who died April 28, 2005; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Janice Bush, Delores Lampman and Loretta Miller. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
