Surnames: Record/Hayward/Taber/Eddy Things are kind of slow with my immediate family research so I'm trying to fill in some of the gaps in my files. This pertains to the Record families who mostly lived in Hanover. (1) Seeking maiden name of Augusta Record (b 1849 d 1927), second wife of William K Record (b 1829 d 1913) son of Israel and Mary Record. They are buried in the Forestville Pioneer Cemetery but lived in Collins, Erie Co NY. William's first wife was Amy Taber, dau of John and Huldah (Eddy) Taber of Brant, Erie Co, NY and formerly from Easton, Washington Co, NY. Amy was my g-g-grandfather's sister. (2) also seeking parentage of Ralph Record (b 1880 d 1961). His wife was Ella May and there was a daughter named Ruth. He lived in Syracuse for a time and worked for the local newspaper. They are buried in the Prospect Road cemetery in Forestville. (3) Ralph appears in the 1900 census in Hanover. He is listed as the stepson of Nora Record. She is a widow and had daughters Daphne and Ruth. Who was her husband? Records on ancestry.com indicate that Nora was the daughter of Asa Kirby Hayward and Harriet Tichnor of Perrysburg. I also have an indirect connection to the Haywards thru their son A Jay. Thanks! Debbie Kailua, Hawaii
