I've "rescued" an old photograph which is identified as Mr. Ril HODGE. The photograph was taken at the Geo W. Scott Studio in Cherry Creek, New York and is dated 1885. I would guess that Mr. HODGE was likely in his 50's at the time the photograph was taken. Not sure if the first name is a nickname or not, though it is written with a period after the name suggesting that it is an abbreviation for something. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family, so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family.
