Surnames: SPOONER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SRB.2ACE/12051 Message Board Post: Hi I am a SPOONER Descendant, and a SPOONER Researcher, one of TWO who gather this family in this country, I was contacted by a man in Southhampton, Hampshire Co MASS this week about a soldier he had adopted, named HIRAM H SPOONER , His online searches eventually brought him to me; I was able to tell him about WHO Hiram was , his wife, children, and his ancestors, This young man is starting a project called ADOPT A CIVIL WAR SOLDIER, he was written up in the Southhampton new paper, and he sent me a copy of the clipping, I think this would be a wonderful nationwide project; He just happened to stumble onto Hirams gravesite, , and was determinded to find out who he was, he has kept the grave site clean, planted flowers, Flags and made a small cross, and just keeps WATCH; If you want to correspond with Mike, email is Bricklayer1961@aol.com
