Ericson, 87, of 15 Kenmore Ave., Jamestown, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 4, 1985) in Jamestown General Hospital. Before retiring in 1966, he had been employed at Crescent Tool Co. for 48 years. A resident of Celoron for 45 years, Ericson was born June 13, 1898, in Dagus Mines, Pa., a son of Frank and Amanda Johnson Erickson. Ericson was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 145, F&AM, Jamestown Consistory, Celoron Rod and Gun Club, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Jamestown Skeet Club, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local, AARP, Golden Agers, and Senior Citizens and its Travel Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Brecht, whom he married Feb. 1, 1922, and two sisters: Gertrude Peterson and Freda Wren of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Carlson and three brothers: Eric, Axel and Clifford Carlson. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Harley G. Rusch, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where a Masonic memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
