Carlson, 75, of 72 Durant Ave., died at 1:50 a.m. today (July 8, 1968) at the WCA Hospital. He had been employed by Art Metal, Inc., for 42 years as supervisory foreman prior to retirement in 1962. He was born April 9, 1893 in Rockford, Ill., the son of William and Ida Berg Carlson. He resided here for 62 years. Mr. Carlson was a confirmand of the Zion Covenant Church, a former trustee of the church and a member of the Brotherhood. He also was a member of Ingjald Lodge, Independent Order of Vikings. Surviving are his wife, Selma Hobbet Carlson, two daughters, Mrs. Emil F. Hessinger of Erie, Pa.; and Mrs. Richard G. Stahlman of Jamestown; seven grandchildren, Frederick Hessinger, Robert Hessinger, Richard Hessinger, and Mrs. John Ericson, all of Erie; and Carl Hessinger of Buffalo; Miss Lisa Ann Stahlman and Richard E. Stahlman Jr., both of Jamestown; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Vernon King of Tonawanda. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Zion Covenant Church. The Rev. Eldon H. Johnson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
