Reed, 72, of 421 West Ave., formerly of Lexington Park, Md., died at 2:03 p.m. Friday (April 23, 2004) in her home. An area resident most of her life, she was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Scranton, Pa., the daughter of George F. and Marjorie Mulderig Coyne. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Leonardtown, Md., and Georgetown University School of Nursing in Washington. She was employed by Polly's clothing store from 1979 to 1989, and was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, J. Richard Reed, whom she married May 8, 1954, in Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, Lexington Park; three sons: J. Richard Reed Jr. of Newark, Ohio, Timothy C. Reed of Angola and Charles B. Reed of Falconer; a daughter, Carol R. Salapek of Raleigh, N.C.,; nine grandchildren: Joshua Reed of Los Angeles, Daniel and Robert Reed, both of Boston, Michael Reed of St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y., Kathleen Salapek of University of North Carolina, Bethany Salapek of Raleigh, Brenna and Brittney Reed, both of Jamestown, and Angela Ormond of Falconer; two stepgrandchildren: Ryan Antonicci of Burlington, Vt., and Michael Wetterow of Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepgreat-grandson; and two sisters: Anne C. Tennison of Leonardt! own, Md., and Sarah Haskins of Pinellas Park, Fla. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Catherine Coyne and MaryLou Bohanan. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
