Smith, 68, died at his home on the Ashville Lake Road Tuesday at 2 P.M. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Preston of Buffalo, New York, and Miss Imogene Smith, at home; a sister, Mrs. Edna Bolin of Ashville; and two grandchildren, Susan and James Preston of Buffalo, Mr. Smith was prominent in Democratic political circles for many ears and served as county committeeman for three years. He was born in Kiantone, New York. The remains are at the Powers Funeral Home where funeral services will be held on Thursdy at 2 P.M. Rev. Lee D. Smith, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate, and internment will be at Frewsburg. Poster's Note: Harley Duane Smith was the son of Ezra Duane Smith and Sarah M. Cobb. His wife was the former Gertrude A. Davis.
