She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Lane, who died in August of 1990. Survivors include her sister, Virginia Davidson, Bakersfield, Calif.; son, Roger Lane and wife Ann, Jamestown, Chautauqua Co N.Y.; daughter, Sally Lane Sweet and husband, Charles, Boulder, Colo.; five grandchildren, Gregg Edwards and Charles Sweet, both of Bradenton, Maren Lane of Jamestown, N.Y., and Natalie Hoel and Danica DeMerchant, both of Fredricton, New Brunswick; and three great-grandchildren. She also was beloved by her niece, Joan Morrow, and nephew, Jim Iseminger, both of Bakersfield, Calif. Mrs. Lane was a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia and taught elementary students over a long career, including schools in Meadville, Pa., and Chautauqua County, N.Y. She loved children and touched many lives over the years, as well as being honored with numerous local and national awards for excellence i! n teaching. She remained a life -long learner who enjoyed reading, playing bridge and exchanging e-mail messages with her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sun City Center. The family will gather to honor and celebrate her life with a service at the Bradenton home of her grandson, Gregg Edwards. ** Obit Tampa Tribune
