She was born April 10, 1911, in Sicily, the daughter of Frank and Concetta Salamone Augusta. She came to the United States as an infant, settling in the Falconer area, and attended Jamestown Schools. In earlier years she had been employed as a waitress in the Jamestown area and later at the Hotel Statler in Buffalo for many years. She attended Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church. She is survived by three sisters: Anita ‘‘Nettie’’ Larson of Jamestown, Beatrice Gunsay of San Clemete, Calif., and Frances Augusta of Buffalo. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Dominic and Sam Augusta. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
