Parker, 91, of Heritage Village Health Care Center, Gerry, formerly of 33 Elm St., Westfield, died Wednesday (Dec. 18, 2002) in the facility. Born June 20, 1911, in Westfield, she was the daughter of Ralph M. and Ethel Stebbins Hyde. A Chautauqua County resident most of her life, she was a 1929 graduate of Westfield Academy. She was employed as a secretary for many years, working for the Chautauqua County Clerk's office from 1929 to 1934, Welch's Grape Juice from 1934 to 1943, National Grape of Brocton from 1943 to 1946, several doctors in the Homestead, Fla., area until 1970 when she was employed by Hyde Plumbing and Heating until retiring in 1988. She moved to the Heritage Village campus in 1994 and was a member of Gerry Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting and was also involved in several volunteer programs. Surviving are two sisters: Eleanor Barnard of Olean and Helen Wickson of Fernandia, Fla.; a brother, Harold Hyde of Westfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Hollis D. Parker, whom she married in April 1946 and who died Jan. 4, 1977. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.
