Brandt, 93, of the Lutheran Retirement Home, formerly of the High Rise Apartments, and RD 1, Kennedy, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday (July 18, 2004) in the nursing home. A Jamestown area resident since 1913, she was born Dec. 11, 1910, in Batavia, Ill., the daughter of Charles A. and Amanda Pearson Johnson. She was the widow of Arnold P. Brandt, whom she married Jan. 14, 1944, and died Oct. 28, 1975. She was vice president of the former Johnson Florists, retiring in 1977. She was confirmed in 1925 in the former Epworth Christ United Methodist Church, was a volunteer with the High Rise Apartments, a former member of Ingjald Lodge 65, IOV, and a member of Ira Lou Spring Post 149 American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Bette A. Peterson of Falconer; five grandchildren: Michelle L. Johnson of Gerry, Jeffrey A., Lisa A. and Christine M. Peterson, all of Falconer, and G. Charles ''Chuck'' Peterson of Jamestown, and eight great-grandchildren. Besides her! husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth N.O. Johnson who died in 1922; and three brothers: Sheldon Johnson, 1967; Russell Johnson, 1981; and James Johnson, 1986. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
