    1. [NYCHAUTA] Descendants of Milton E. Waller (1807-1880)

Author: copet1 Surnames: Waller, Coon Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.chautauqua/21546/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking for any descendants of Milton E. Waller, who was born in Washington County, NY in 1807; married Polly Coon in 1826 in Orleans County, NY and moved to Chautauqua County (and was in the 1830 Census there) and died in Lykens, Crawford County, OH in 1880. He had numerous children, including one that would be an uncle (through marriage) to President McKinley. I am sure there is someone out there looking for this branch and I'm hoping to make contact somehow. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!! Author: fredrikmejster Surnames: Ernstedt, Ernstead Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.chautauqua/21545/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi everyone, I hope someone here can help me with information on a relative of mine that seem impossible to find... His name was Karl Teodor Öhrnstedt, born 10 SEP 1885 in Sweden. He emigrated in 1905 and was bound for Port Allegany in Pennsylvania where he had his friend Fred Anderson. I have tried searching for Karl Teodor through ancestry, and the closest I've got is a man living in Chautauqua named Carl Ernstedt /Ernstead born about 1885/1886. I beg someone to find out what happened to him and if he really was the man I'm looking for. In 1920 he is living in Jamestown, but in 1930 in Ellicott. This is unfortunately all I have... Cooley and I am the great grandson of Gideon Reuben Cooley. I have been researching the Cooley line. I do not know at this time who the parents of Gideon Reuben Cooley is yet. But I am making some progress. I can tell you that he was not born in the city of Fredonia, NY. In fact Chautauqua county was not a county until 1808 and did not finish the transition until 1811. And the two Cooley's that lived in the Parent County stayed with the Parent County when Chautauqua became a county. As they stayed with the parent county. He did live on a farm out side of Fredonia. His name does show up on a "general store" register in Fredonia. He died near by Macomb, MO Sept. 30, 1846. In the cemetery next to a Methodist church at Fountain Green. His gravestone says that he died at age 40 years. Which means that he was born in a two-year window between Sept. 30, 1805 to Sept. 30 of 1807. So the date of "about 1802" is not correct. He has been connected to Azariah Cooley ! of Pitsford Rutland county Vermont. THIS IS NOT CORRECT !!!! Using the Vermont 1850 census record it shows that Azariah Cooley has a son named Reuben Cooley who was 38 years old at the time and my "Gideon" Reuben Cooley had been dead already for about 4 years. So this link IS NOT CORRECT. Besides Azariah Cooley son Reuben wife and children are different and My Gideon Reuben Cooley had two wife's. If you wish to help me in my research or if you have more information the please contact me. My email address is: cooleddie14@yahoo.com. I live in Orem, Utah my phone number is (801)226-2060. 1. [NYCHAUTA] Mark re Nash
    2. Mark, I don't believe there can be a connection, as the Benjamin Nash I'm looking for would have been born around 1795/1800. He married someone named "Nabi" according to my document. This could be Libby, Nancy, Abigail, or who knows what. She was born in Hartwick, Otsego about 1800.  Thanks for trying. Virginia

Chances are pretty good that she is attached somehow to my family of Wordens but as of now I don't have any idea of how. Sylvester Worden married in to my family of Wordens. His wife, Hannah Drayton's mother was Maria Worden who was a decentant of Peter Worden who came here in the 1600's and helped to settle Cape Cod. Somehow all the Wordens are related but not all the connections are known at this time. Sylvester and Hannah are buried in Fentonville with their only son Henry. He is also buried there. He was never married or had any known children. He died in the Chautaqua Poorhouse and was buried in Frentonville which is a small hamlet just outside the village of Frewsburg (Town of Carrol) where my family has lived for several generations. My parents still live there. Hannah Drayton was the sister of my direct line ancestor LoisAnn Drayton Kinneston. Also ! buried in the same cemetery is Hannah's parents Maria and William Drayton, a sister-in-law, Lucy Jane Drayton, and some other cousins. Sorry that I can't help you in your search for Prudence's family. Doreen Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
