Kelly Miller Kindred Roots Genealogical Society http://kindredroots.com .... Attached is pic and cemetery records [posted at the end of this message] of my great-great-great-great grand fathers stone (Rev Stephen Blaisdell) in Cherry Creek cemetery. I also found some info. one line from Dee Davidson. I have tried to contact this person but can't for some reason (not good at computers). If you can could you forward this note on to Dee Davidson: I may be the source of the Stephen - Samuel confusion. I submitted a family tree on Ancestry and LDS a while ago that had Samuel correctly linked to parents but not correctly linked to spouse or children (I made an error in reading census records). I don't know who Stephen's parents are - I don't believe they are Samuel and Abigail: they had a Samuel L. (same birth year as Stephen) who is accounted for in later census. Is your information on birth date and place based on Cherry Creek sources? I was recently in Cherry Creek and found Stephen's tomb stone. I am related to him through Bogardus. Any help you can give me on Stephen would be greatly appreciated. .... Below is the data from Charles T. Blaisdell's visit to Cheery Creek Cemetery. I formatted it slightly to eliminate confusion (from converting the text). Kelly .... In book | On Stone Wm. S. Blaisdell Lot No. 125 Main stone Rev. S. The Logans in 1830 census in Portland ended up in Michigan later on. John is in the 1840 census in Jackson co. The rest ended up in Kalamazoo and Van Buren co. It is not verified but we think Johns second wife was a Phebe born 1786 to 1788 in New York or Penn, and is in the Jackson co census in 1850 & 1860. My bunch later moved to forestville. Over the years, I've discovered that there were alot of intermarriages and family alliances both here and previously in Poland. As a result, I've been collecting data about the 1st and 4th ward families from ancestry.com, ellisisland.com, and from local resources when I visit. My subscription to ancestry.com includes access to census records and images of about 30 years worth of the Dunkirk Observer which can be searched, more or less.
