He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force as an airplane and engine mechanic. He earned the American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Jamestown as a letter carrier from 1953 to 1984. He is survived by his wife, Marian Tilaro DiGregorio, whom he married Oct. 15, 1949, in St. James Catholic Church; a son, Joseph A. DiGregorio of Jamestown; two daughters: Mary Ann Hallenback of Rochester and Carol Bell of Frewsburg; seven grandchildren: Matthew and Michael Campion and Christopher Bell, all of Frewsburg, Joseph Gerolomo DiGregorio of Jamestown, and Gabrielle Phillips, Jennifer and Gregory Hallenbeck, all of Rochester; three sisters: Sara Purpura of Jamestown, Vir! ginia Triscari of Camp Hill, Pa., and Sister Rose Therese DiGregorio of Buffalo. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War serving from Feb. 21, 1951, until Jan. 19, 1956. He was a member of John W. Tiffany Post 53, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved to golf and watch sports, especially football and baseball. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Higgs Carlson Morton, whom he married Oct. 26, 1986; a son Mark Morton of Jamestown; two grandchildren: Richard Morton of Baltimore, and Kelley Morton of Jamestown. He was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Cherry Creek, the son of Emanuel and Antonette Cipolla Mangine. A Chautauqua County resident his entire life, he was a 1932 graduate of Falconer High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corp in China and Burma, India. He received a medal for airmanship and flew numerous missions over ''the hump.'' He owned and operated Ma's and Pa's Restaurant in Gerry for 12 years and was employed as chief pilot by Electro Sonics and A.V.M Corporation and was a contract pilot until 1999. He was a member of the David Vern Luce Post 778 American Legion and in 2002 was honored for 50 years of membership. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and the Hump Pilot Association. He became a pilot in 1932 at the age of 18 and logged more than 20,000 hours and was still flying as co-pilot at the age of 89. He enjoyed working on fork lifts in his barn and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by his two daughters-in-law, Nancy and Vicki Mangine. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Greene Mangine, whom he married Dec. 1, 1942; a daughter, Barbara Mangine Wheeler of Winter Haven, Fla.; two sons: Anthony ''Corky'' and Richard D. He belonged to Silver Lodge #757 F&AM as well as the Lake Erie Bird Club and the Retired Officers Association. He was in the "Whose Who? in American College and Universities," in 1974 and also was an instructor in CPR and First Aid for the American Red Cross of Erie and Chautauqua Counties. Surviving are his wife Doris E. (Congdon) Welch, whom he married Jan. 25, 1954 in St. Alban's Church; two sons, Thomas Welch of Hindsdale, N.Y. and Dennis Welch of St. Paul, Minn.; one brother, Theodore Welch of Irving; and four grandchildren. He retired after 28 years as Postmaster in Forestville, where he served from 1953-81. He was also a co-owner in the Twinbrook Dairy Farm in Forestville and had worked for Bell Aircraft from 1940-44. He was a 75-year member of the Forestville United Methodist Church where he faithfully attended and provided tireless and continued support as trustee, usher and bell ringer for more than 20 years. He was past commander, chaplain and service officer of the J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post 953. He was also past President of the Chautauqua County Post Masters Association, past Director of the Lake Shore Hospital Association and former member of the IOOF and the Silver Creek Lions Club. He will be remembered for his love of Forestville, his lifelong home and the community where he served as Postmaster Mr. VanRensselaer is survived by his wife, Irene B. Wilks VanRensselaer, whom he married Sept. 28, 1940 in the Forestville United Methodist Church; his three sons, David, Richard and Robert VanRensselaer, all of Forestville; and his five grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Rosemarie Steiner of Tampa, with whom she made her home; three sons, Karl Erb of Mayville and Jonathan and Erik Erb of Tampa; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Erb, whom she married in December 1946 and who died in 1973. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel Nordstrom and Sylvia Nordstrom-Johnson.

Donelson of Hanover, N.H.; six grandchildren: Michele Lind Brandhofer of Oviedo, Spain, Jill C. Moore of Atlanta, Shana L. Herron of Frankfort, Ky., Kimberly J. Likosky of Lebanon, N.H., Marc T. Donelson of Cornelius, N.C., and Brett K. Donelson of Hanover; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Andrea M. Hyde of Huron, Ohio, and Carol Ann Kindberg of Jamestown; and three brothers: B. Rodney Lind of Jamestown, Robert C. Lind of West Ellicott and Herbert W. Lind of Chautauqua. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite Dorothy Lind, who died in 1922. Cardot, 92, of Heritage Village Health Care Center, Gerry, formerly of Center Road, Arkwright, died Tuesday (June 28, 2005) at the center. She was born Nov. 13, 1912 in Arkwright, the daughter of the late Clifton and Carrie (Taylor) Ball. A lifelong resident of Chautauqua County, Mrs. Cardot was a 1930 alumna of Forestville High School and a 1931 graduate of the school's teacher training class. She was employed as a teacher in the one-room schoolhouse in Arkwright. For most of her life, she assisted her husband with the daily operation of the family dairy farm in Arkwright. For more than 10 years, she served as the Arkwright Town historian. She was a member of the Benjamin Prescott Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Cassadaga-Stockton-Lily Dale Senior Citizens and formerly belonged to the Home Bureau and Arkwright Grange. A driving force behind her husband's political endeavors, she cherished the times spent with her family. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Cannon of Oak Island, N.C.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Earl O.
