Pilkey TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Ernest William Pilkey, 81, died Tuesday in Tallahassee. He was born in Jamestown, N.Y. to the late Ernest W. D.D.S. and Clara (Bishop), moving to Tallahassee from New Jersey 20 years ago. Mr. Pilkey was a veteran of World War II, serving as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater. He was a 1948 graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. and worked as vice president of Columbia House Records, a division of C.B.S. in New York. He was a retired purchaser with C.B.S. in New York. Mr. Pilkey was predeceased by his sister, Mary Jane Erickson. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris (Haffner); three daughters, Barbara Everett, of West Caldwell, N.J., Marsha Riggs, of St. Louis, Mo. and Camilla Ruben, of Evans, W.Va.; a sister, Betty Ann Wilson, of Westfield, N.Y.; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ehrensberger had been a teamster, a farmer and a maintenance man at N. Warren, PA State Hospital, and was later employed at Jamestown Lounge Company, retiring in 1972 because of ill health. Surviving besides his wife are a sister, Genevieve E. Anderson of St. Mary's and a brother, Wayne L. Ehrensberger of Bucktail Trail, Pa. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Ehrensberger who was killed in World War II and William Ehrensberger, and a sister, Bernice McCormack. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

She was a member of the Busti Historical Society, the Lakewood Womens Club, a member of the Elmira Club of Elmira College and spent many hours volunteering for the Lakewood Library. He was one of the organizers of the Celoron Fire Department and it first chief. He was active in all affairs of the community. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Marie C. Johnson of Celoron, and two sisters, Mrs. Harold Brown of Buffalo and Mrs. Anna Cronin of Chicago. Mr. Johnson was born in Holmsted Sweden in 1857, and came to this country when fifteen years of age. He was, for several years, a resident of and conducted a business in Olean, later moving to Celoron where he resided for 24 years. Burial was in Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown, NY.

    2. I have been looking for date of death, about mid 1930's of Karl Johan Gotfred Osbeck, aka Fred. He lived in Westfield, Chatauqua Co., rumored to have been beaten in NY and thrown in Hudson river. He was WW 1 vet, had family in Jamestown, Gotfried & Selma Peterson, sister, Ida Tulen, aunt, Christine Osbeck, mother. This brick wall won't come down. Any help would be appreciated. Joanne
