She attended schools in Warren. Surviving are four sons: Robert S. Olson of Leicester, N.Y., Thomas L. Olson of Emmett, Idaho, James S. Olson of Irvine, Pa., and Paul F. Hagerman of Jamestown; nine grandchildren: two stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Rowley of Tucson, Ariz.; and a sister, Betty Reider of Warren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Olson, who died in 1942; and her second husband, Paul E. Hagerman, whom she married July 5, 1947, and who died Sept. 20, 1980. Inurnment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, Pa.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Women of the Moose, both in Westfield. Surviving are two sons, Jeffery DuChaine of Westfield and Robert DuChaine of North Tonawanda; and two grandsons. He was born Jan. 21, 1931 in Stockton, the son of Russell E. and Velma B. Tatchell Howard. He was a 1949 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School, and was a self-employed dairy farmer, cattle trucker and livestock mineral salesperson. He had also assisted with the cattle auctions at Kimballstand and Sherman. He was a life member of and past president of the Stockton Volunteer Fire Department and served for 15 years as the Stockton fire district commissioner. He was also a 2000 recipient of the Stockton Volunteer Fire Co.’s James Akin Memorial Fireman of the year. He was also a member of the Stockton Grange, the Stockton Kitchen Konference of the Farm Bureau, and the 4-H Dairy Steer Committee. “Chat” enjoyed county and state fairs, breakfast with the guys and was an avid supporter of the 4-H meat animal sales. Everett was born, raised and continued to live at the family homestead until his death. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lona Sample Howard, whom he married Aug. 27, 1960; five daughters: Linda Willoughby of Cassadaga, Barbara Hoyt of Ashville, Carolyn Howard of Youngsville, Pa., and Betty Catanese and Debra Howard, both of Stockton; nine grandchildren: Allyson and Alycia Willoughby, both of Cassadaga, Jennifer Hoyt of Ft. Benning, Ga., Jonathan, Patricia and Lauren Hoyt, all of Ashville, Courtney Proper of Youngsville, and Hope and Garrett Cantanese, both of Stockton. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Stockton.

He was a 1944 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a WW II veteran of the US Navy serving aboard the submarine USS Bluefish from 1944 to 1946. He was employed by the City of Jamestown Fire Department from 1953 to 1985 retiring as a captain and maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the Bemus Point United Methodist Church and Island Resort Church, Lake Havasu, AZ. His other memberships include American Federation of Musicians for 58 years, Morton Club, Ira Lou Spring Post #149 American Legion, Thomas G. Stone Post #1996 AMVETS, Elks Lodge BPOE #263, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, Ingjald Lodge #65 IOV, Moose Marching Band and Jamestown Municipal Band. He was a member and past president of International Municipal Signal Association, Viking Corporation and Viking Male Chorus. He was a life member of Moose Lodge #1681 and John W. Tiffany Post #53 VFW. He was an avid hunter, motorcyclist, boater, golfer and bowler. He loved music and working with his hands. In earlier years he played baseball in the Jamestown Industrial and Muny Leagues. Surviving are his wife the former Judy Clayton, whom he married December 5, 1969, 4 sons Steven A. (Judy) Johnson of Jamestown, Dana W. (Dorothy) Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA, Samuel J. (Donna) Johnson of Decatur IL., and Stephen M. (Ann) Johnson of Prospect, KY, 5 daughters Sylvia L.
