Rufus Langdon who was in (Pomfret) Dunkirk in 1805, and Gideon Langdon (his son) who later shows up in Walworth, WI are the ones I'm following. Interestingly, Rufus shows up living with his son Abraham in Columbia Co., WI in 1850 and on the same census as "Rufus Landon", living with Gideon's daughter, Jane S. (Sarah Jane) age 11, a few miles away in Green Lake Co., WI. Lucinda Langdon and Gideon Rufus Langdon from Pickens Co., Alabama are not in my direct line that I know of at this time. I have seen this name before and believe it could be a collateral line as the rest of the family has many of the same given names as my Langdons.
