He was born April 9, 1893 in Rockford, Ill., the son of William and Ida Berg Carlson. He resided here for 62 years. Mr. Carlson was a confirmand of the Zion Covenant Church, a former trustee of the church and a member of the Brotherhood. He also was a member of Ingjald Lodge, Independent Order of Vikings.
