Sam Robertshaw was b, abt. 1841 as was his wife Mary. There were two children in the house Lizzy Robertshaw b. abt. 1859 and Ellen Robertshaw b. abt. 1863. I have reason to believe that later Ellen married Herbert Emmott. I would like to confirm this. There was also a sister-in-law in the house Fannie Briggs. Do you know when Herbert Emmott died? In the 1900 New Jersey census there is an Ellen Emmott, a widow, b. in England, b. 1863 - also, a son named Herbert. Sounds like it could be the Ellen you're looking for. According to the 1900 census, Ellen immigrated in 1879 but I can't find the parents listed on the 1880 census to see if that coincided with their immigration date.
