In 2007, this line operates as the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railroad. Kennedy has been a depot for Pennsylvania coal and oil. Presumably, the Kennedy Chut Company was a coal chute operation. 3. It's a small publication but it does have articles covering the entire county. It is the quarterly journal for the Chautauqua Co Genealogical Society. Their office is located in the Barker Museum in Fredonia which is adjacent to the Fredonia Public Library. On the corner of Main Street and Day Street. I'm sure they have copies on file. They do sell individual issues. They have one that dealt with Lucille Ball and her ancestors. It's their most requested issue. The Pomfret clerk's office is also next door on Day Street. 2. Debbie Stelmach
    3. The Chautauqua Co Genealogical Society has indexed a number of the papers in the Dunkirk area. The Dunkirk Observer has been indexed from 1882 - 2000. They can be found at the CCGS location in the Barker Library in Fredonia. Copies are also available at the Reed Library microfilm room at the Fredonia SUNY campus. They also did indexes for the Fredonia Censor, some of the Grape Belt and the Forestville Free Press newspapers. These can also be purchased.
