Author: frokenm2 Surnames: Spurr, Tracy Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.chautauqua/21128/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi, I'm looking for the date of death and burial site of Calista Spurr Tracy, b.1803 in Columbia, Chenango County, NY, married Bela Tracy of Norwich, CT., children: Emily b.1826, Pamelia b. 1828, Melissa b. 1830, John b. 1832, and Austin b. 1834. Bela is listed in the 1830 census of Charlotte and 1840 census of Gerry, where Calista appears to be still alive. However, in the 1850 census for Southwest, Warren County, PA, only Bela and the children are listed, so Calista probably died between 1840 and 1850. Bela later moved to Titusville, PA, Bradford, PA, and died in Painsville, OH, in 1881. Would appreciate any information about the family. They were married approximately 1877. They lived in Harmony. They are my GG Grandparents. I am having a lot of trouble finding who might have marriage records in Chautauqua for this time. If I were guessing, since my great grandfather (their son) was a Methodist his parents probably were also. (Are there any Methodist Churches in Harmony around this time?). I am trying to find their exact marriage date, and at which church the marriage was performed. Emma Cornell is the daughter of Lorenzo Dow and Sclarna Terry Cornell. Also, I am trying to find a lead on getting a copy of the obituary for Andrew Carlson. He died from an accident in Harmony on February 18, 1917, and I thought it might have made the papers. Any information on where I can look would be helpful. Thank you very much, Carlson Craft Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
