    3. Nelson Buck was born in 1808 to Aholiab and Annis Buck. Fidelia Wethey was born in about 1815 in Mentz?, NY to Abel and Elizabeth Wethey. Aholiab Buck and his brother moved to the area now known as Port Byron in about 1798. I also know that Nelson Buck taught music before moving to Illinois in about 1833. After moving to Illinois he became a surveyor. Erik On Feb 10, 2008 4:13 PM, Tamara Underwood <unde4@sti.net> wrote: > Another found > A . 3. The 1800 census has Elijah in Aurelius with 1 young male and 2 women, one looking about the same age as the oldest male and an older woman. I looked at this because there are several Buck's in Cayuga in the 1810 census Benjamin - Genoa Daniel - Genoa Enoch D - Locke Elijah - Mentz Ehihab - Mentz I know that it is a pain. But I found myself going to the LDS here locally and renting a Soundex. This is where I found my Grandmother, she was not in Ancestry, and I can't find her listed with Patrick Tenity/Tennety. However she is a servant in the home of a Arthur Rorapaugh. Can't even find him in Ancestry. so go figure. As I recall when I had them look for me it was listed altogether as something else. The local LDS have been wonderful to me and I am an Irish Catholic (hahaha) but they sure have helped. I live near Yosemite and it is a very small town but so helpful. See if you can rent a soundex you might get lucky. Even a marriage list if you might know where they were married.
