Scott is a village and it is located in the Town of Scott. At present in Cortland Co. Recently while talking to the former town Clerk I found out they have very early vital stats at the clerk's office and still keep them. I am not sure how far back they would go. I lived in Scott before I married. My husband lived in another town. law states the marraige license must be gotten in the bride's place of residence., This may be of help to some of yo searching for records.
