Can anyone tell me where Aurelius is or was located. It isn't on my map. Is the town still in existence? Also, does anyone know if you would go through Steuben Co., NY or Steuben Co., Ind to migrate to Lenawee Co., Michigan. My Rawson Southwick was born in Aurelius, Cayuga Co. in 1815 and he showed up on the 1840 Steuben Co., Ind. Census Index that is on Ancestry.com. I am wondering if maybe this was a mistake and should be Steuben Co., NY. I can't find him at all on the Census in the library, but our library doesn't have everything. He also got married in Lenawee Co. on June 28, 1840. I cannot connect Rawson to any parents in Cayuga Co. I am leaning towards Elisha Southwick who was in Aurelius in the 1820 Census and the 1790 Census. If anyone knows the answer to my questions, please e-mail me.
