I am looking for any information on the Kells family of Mentz. The only information I have is that Harriet Kells Pennoyer died 4 May 1852 in Grand Haven, Muskegon Co., Michigan. She was the wife of Henry Pennoyer. In a memoir written by Henry's second wife she describes Harriet as a granddaughter of Mrs. Sarah Kells of Mentz, Cayuga Co., NY. I found the following in the New York 1820 Census- Mentz, Cayuga County page 49: Kells, Sarah 2 males 16-26 2 females under 10 1 female 16-26 1 female 45 and over Since Harriet was born in 1815, she could very well have been one of the members of this household.
