Hi Zane. Thanks for the note. Right now we've reduced the time to Saturday only (about 8am to dusk). The camping area has been withdrawn because the landowner had to go away that weekend, although the park nearby is suppose to be open. Also, the town is having problems with insurance because power equipment is being used. They are tying hard to resolve that and I certainly understand their position. Therefore, we don't know if the clean up is still on, delayed or what form it will take. I plan to there Saturday for sure because people are drifting by during the day to discuss the history of the area and we have other things to look at like mapping the stones and looking for an old saw mill. I can't, however, imagine cleaning an acre by hand. I'll let you know as soon as I know. Your willingness to help is impressive and inspirational albeit may be to risky to come all that way unless you have other objectives. If there is something I can do for you here in NY, let me know. Is this cleanup still going to take place? I would like to help, but I will be traveling from Michigan and need to know the plans , if any.
