    1. [NYCAYUGA] Tuppers/Tupper's Corner
    2. Hello. I received the e-mail I have copied below. My ancestor Isaac Tupper was supposedly one of those 20-24 children born to Charles Tupper but we have found no documentation yet. My ancestor Isaac was supposed to have been to Charles Tupper's marriage to Hannah Jaqua. The e-mail below indicates a Cayuga County connection so I am hoping one of you might know something; that would be wonderful. Also, is there still a Tupper's Corner -- and perhaps even the sword? Thank you very much, Stephanie >>I have alot of information on the Jaquas and some on Charles Tupper. Hannah Jaqua was the daughter of Aaron Jaqua and Rebekah House. Charles was the son of Thomas Tupper and Ruth ?. From Mayflower families, pg 611 I have the following on Charles Tupper. Prior to the Revolution he lived in Pittsfield, Mass., whence he went to Vermont and began the first settlement in Ferrisburg, Addison County, on the border of FLake Champlain. At the outbreak of the war he returned to Pittsfield and there joined the American forces and is believed to have seen service in the nave. He is also thought to have been a captain under Lafayette. About 1812, presumable on his way to Buffalo, New York, he left his sword at the homestead of his brother, Benjamin, at Tupper's Corner, Cayuga County, New York, where it was still preserved in 1888. It is also a tradition that he lived to be over 100 years of age after settling in western New York, credited with going to Chautauqua County to live in 1807. He is believed to have had 20-24 children.<<
