http://content.lib.washington.edu/communitymuseum/resources.html I wanted to pass on a link to a project that is going on out in Forks Washington that could help all of you with deciding how to scan documents and photographs for permanent back ups. C. E. Jensen - Steinschönau Project ([email protected]) The Community Museum Project originated out of a day long workshop discussion in Forks nearly four years ago. The recipient of a very competitive federal grant, the project has been developed with the University of Washington, Burke Museum, Peninsula College, Hoh, Quileute and Makah Tribes and many others. The resources page has a lot of very good information on how to develop on-line exhibits, settings for scanning documents for specific uses, etc. I have provided the link to that resource page above. Truly, I hope that one of the additional beneficiaries of this effort are those family historians who have kept treasures and documents that are a critical part of the American legacy.
