I'm searching for information on the Foster family in Sempronius around 1800. Specifically, looking for the sister of David H., Anstrus and Martha. She married Samuel S. Hardy. Her family, along with Anstrus' family (m. Sayles) all ended up in Ohio. Thank you for any assistance. Diane Herson
I would definitely like to dig deeper into this one. I've been unsuccessfully trying to connect Anstrus and David FOSTER to anyone else. A HARDY connection makes a lot of sense. According to "Ancestors of Eldad Hardy, 1777-1857" by Lynn L. Hardy, Eldad HARDY had a brother, Samuel Savory HARDY, b. Feb 23, 1775, which would be of about the same generation as Anstrus and David FOSTER. Eldad and likely others in his family passed through Sempronius about the same time as the FOSTERS, SAYLES and others. Please contact me off the list for more ideas.
