Just joined your list and this is my first posting. Seeking info regarding my paternal g-father: William H. MILLER Born: June 22, 1889 in Auburn, NY Dad: Henry MILLER Mom: Mary THOMAS Siblings included Stanton, Clayton and Nellie, that I can recall. As a child and not paying too much attention, I seem to remember my grandmother telling us that some aunt did research on the family and traced the family back many generations. There was a female Iroquois ancestor. There was also a small town where you had to have the same last name as the founder or marry a female with that name. Sorry, I know it's not much to go on. Youth just doesn't listen. What I wouldn't give to be able to talk with my grandparents for just an evening! I sent off to Albany about 6 / 7 months ago requesting granddad's birth certificate but I'm still waiting. Any and all help/suggestions will really be appreciated.
