On the 1840 census record for Locke, Cayuga County there is a John D. Baker with the following family: 1 Male under 5 1 Male 30-40 This would be John D. 1 female under 5 1 female 20-30 All the above would fit for my GGGrandfather but to get more proof of this I would like to find the names of John's wife and children. They are not listed on the 1845 or 1850 census for Cayuga County. As for additional proof I know my gggrandparents came from England either just before they married or right after they married. In the court records of Cayuga for October 1840 I find John D. Baker declaration of intent to become a citizen of the United States. Also in the court records of Cayuga County in October 1842 John D. Baker is admitted to Citizenship of the United States. Is there anyway I can find the names of the spouse and children on the 1840 census record? I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
