    3. See Luther's "Moravia and Its Past" pp 241-245 and 264-266. He refers to papers of Liberty Brown that included a muster roll of Capt. Martin's Co., 19th Regt., dated Locke, N.Y., Sept. 25, 1812. The list was also published in the Moravia Republican-Register of Mar. 12, 1909. "Capt. Martin Barber; Lieut. Liberty Brown; Ensign Wm. Cobb; Sergeants, Wm. Backus, Jos. B. Miller, Stephen Richardson, Chas. White; Drummer Jas. VanOrsdale; Fifer Wm. A. Webster; Privates Samuel Satterler, Ichabod Perry, Jr., Ichabod Spaulding, Samuel Crosby, Wm. Herring, David Congdon, John Banker, Garrett Handley, David Ellis, Benj. Ellis, Jr., Seth H. Perry, Zachariah Rosecrans, John Dakins, Harry Bargy, Robert Rathbone, Jos. Richardson, Glen Sawyer, Norris King, Jos. Josiah Willoughby, Lt. Col. Henry Bloom, Capt. Wm. Watson, Maj. Noah Olmstead, Geo. W. Bassett." I too would be interested in more information about this regiment, particularly where it went and what if any action it saw. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rod Fleck" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, May 28, 2005 7:05 PM Subject: [NYCAYUGA] Source for 1812 soldiers from Cayuga? >I am wondering if anyone out there may have come across any muster lists >for > the soldiers that served from Cayuga County in the War of 1812?? > > > > I am specifically looking for Cooks and Browns that may have enlisted from > Locke and other parts in the south of the County. > > > > Thanks in advance > > > > Rod Fleck > > Forks, WA > > > > ==== NYCAYUGA Mailing List ==== > Going on vacation? 3. Thanks for that Roger...don't see the person I was hoping to find there (Jonathan Cook) but this is helpful for I recognize some of the other names in that list. Will pour over it a bit closer. 3. Rod, If you wish to do some searching here is a link to a list by Holice and Debby to the NYS listingof the War of 1812 soldiers. I did find an area that seemed to be missing but Holice replied that all that was found was entered. The list helped me with soldiers of 1812 from Delaware County. Here is the link: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ny/state/1812/ If I can be of further assistance let me know.
