The photo is in the collection of the Frontenac Museum, labeled as a Civil War uniform by the former curator. We do not believe this to be correct and would appreciate any information to help us accurately identify the uniform. Many thanks. I can't claim to know anything about military uniforms but when I enlarge the picture, it looks to me as though there are anchors on the buttons-would there have been different uniforms for persons serving on ships?
