Dear Researcher of the Coykendall name: I am the Owasco historian , and have much information on the Cuykendall/Coykendall/Koykendall family. Did you know it was in Owasco when they put a C-in front of their name dropping the K? Martin Cuykendall donated the land for the Owasco Dutch Reformed Church. He was Owasco's first postmaster and ran a sawmill on Dutch Hollow Brook. He fought in the Revolution and was an indian scout in Orange county as a youth of 12. Their record here begins in 1800. I will search my files, records and wills for the Hanchett name. Laurel Auchampaugh Owasco Historian
