I smiled when I saw the Coykendall query, because the person who wrote it might not realize how much fun they are going to have digging into early American history, New Amsterdam etc etc. I have encountered the Coykendal name many times when researching the origins of my Parsels and Conklin families through the various Dutch Reformed Church records, which are so plentiful and wonderful. My family lines settled in Owasco, but originally were from Dutchess Co. NY and from Bergen Co. NJ. I strongly urge you to subscribe to the Dutch-Colonies list, because the Coykendal name is part of the early Dutch history of America. Tracy
