Teresa, for what it's worth I have an Isabel(l) Porter from Aberdeen Scotland b. about 1735 married to Thomas Gordon and I thought the same thing about her name not being very Scottish. Apparently it was. Maybe a Spanish royal married in to a Scottish family. I'm also related to the Culvers. Through my Jenkins line, Hannah Culver/Colver. Maybe we're related. Colleen
