<Dear List Members, <I want to say I am sorry for not completing the 1880 Census for Auburn ED # 3 yet. We <had an awful thing happen to my Grandson & family which has delayed any progress being <made with the transcription of the Census. <Grandson & family lost their home & all belongings to the flood that we had on the Esopus <Creek, NY. We have been very busy trying to help him & family get a little sense back to <their lives & needless to say .....> ................................................................... I want to thank each of you that replied either to me directly or via this mailing list. I do appreciate any and all offers for prayers, help, or encouragement. Please keep my Grandson and family in your prayers and should you have any extra cash please donate it to your local volunteer services and/or the Salvation Army, as they were all most helpful - some of the local stores were also great in offering flood victims free merchandise. All of your offers in any form were appreciated and will not be forgotten. I can honestly say, when I read about a disaster that I would be glad that victims were safe, but it isn't until you *see it* or have a *loved one* go through it that you really know just how awful it is. So again, thank you & please support the above mentioned, they all are great! Jan Scholar of Godfrey Memorial Library Volunteer for: Italian Genealogical Group and USGenWeb Census Project
