They are buried in Soule Cemetery in Sennett. They had two children Janet (1907-1987) and Ruth (1909-2004). If I've found the correct Harry BARRETT in the 1900 Census, his parents were Henry and Anna (???) BARRETT. The 1900 Census listed Henry birthplace as Canada and his parents' as France. Anna's birthplace was listed as England as were her parents. I also have a MURDOCK in my file, but that's all I know of him. He was married to Mertice Mildred CHAPPEL (1905-1982). I only know the surname because its on Mertice's SSDI record. Mertice's parents (as confirmed by the SS-5) were Josephine BERRY and Charles CHAPPEL.. Josephine BERRY was the daughter of Joseph BERRY and Mary Elizabeth MARKS (my great-grandfather's sister). Bill Hart

    3. Bill Hart wrote re - the Barrett family and Mertice Murdock. Thank you Bill for your information. Firstly, I too had ' Mertice Murdock' set aside until your information came through and you gave me her maiden name - Chappel. I now believe that she was the wife of Silas Marshall Murdock, son of Archie H Murdock from Lisnaree, Newry, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. The common connection with the pair is that Silas Marshall Murdock was a foreman in the Rope Company in the census of 1930, and Mertice worked in the Rope Company in 1930. Silas Marshall Murdock's father Archibald died in 1917 and he too was associated with the Columbia Company. Archibald had in the late 19C rented the Dunning farm on Genessee Street for 20 years (he was a farmer in Ireland) before immigrating in 1883. The only information after 1930 which I had on Silas Marshall Murdock was that he was elected president of the Industrial Club in the 1950's - until his death in March 1982. I see that Mertice died in the same year. Most of the Murdocks are buried in Fort Hill - but I could not find the location of Silas Marshall;s grave. If this connection is correct - this is a real breakthrough. Apologies for misleading you on the name 'Barrett' I should have typed - Barnett -- William G. Barnett married Elsie Morton whose sister was married to Archie H Murdock. Sincere apologies Bill.
