When was this picture taken? It looks kind of like in the 50's but the girl has a pretty modern jacket and hairdo. In fact I think I have a jacket like hers in my closet. Must get busy cleaning it out. **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)

Recent Blog activity on our Upstate New York Genealogy website at www.unyg.com has an easy to understand article about DNA testing for genealogical purposes. There is also a Blog about Ephemera for genealogy, and a full description about how to take advantage of all of the features of unyg.com. Tomorrow we will have a year's end review and predictions for 2008. Happy New Year to all of our readers, Dick Hillenbrand. Upstate New York Genealogy www.unyg.com

I have a copy of the 1930 Echo, the yearbook of Emily Howland High School. Maybe some day I'll get it transcribed, but right now I have scoured it for names. There are 3 photos, one of the senior class, and one of the boys and girls basketball teams. There is no clear comprehensive inventory of students, and it seems that the drop out rate was high, plus some students were promoted during a class year. Plus, I love how there seemed to be alumni playing on the basketball teams; I guess that was before they counted years of eligibility. This document seems to have been completely produced by the students so it is filled with all kinds of inside jokes and rumor that could only thrive in such a small school. In any case, the following is a list of individuals mentioned, and where available what year they were in. If there is a (b) by there name, that is to note that they are pictured in the basketball photos. If anyone would like to know what is said about any of the following individuals. I know many of these names will be very familiar to those near Sherwood. The Echo 1930 Emily Howland High School Class of 1930 (seniors are pictured together) Helen M.
