Does anyone have any information on the Kells family? I am trying to identify the parents of Harriet Kells born circa 1815. She was the granddaughter of Mrs. Sarah Kells of Mentz, Cayuga Co., NY. I am looking for information on the Cooper & Shaw families in Cayuga Co. Dorman Cooper is first seen in the 1820 census and Consider Shaw was listed in 1800-1820 census'. Consider's daughter Lucretia married Dorman about 1819 and their first child was b.1820 Arminta Cooper followed by Eugene in 1823 and Pulaski 1825. Lucretia d. at the age of 30, and Dorman and the children moved to Haldimand Co., Ontario. Are these names familiar to any one? Thank you, Nancy in MI

Laurel,Thanks I know about my grandfather he died in 1996 I believe he was also a Henry Harrison.I have bits and pieces of the family stuff but nothing concrete.I know alot my my line went into OH but again brickwall. There is a DAVID family file at the Cayuga Owasco Lakes Historical Society in Moravia NY Address C-OLHS Box 247 14 West Cayuga Street Moravia N.Y. 13118 We searched and searched for a Mr. David in Syracuse and tried to find his roots. He too met up with a brick wall. We collected every bit of information on Every David in Cayuga and some in Ononadaga county. This young man was caring for a parent who had Alzheimers. Some of the DAVIDS are of American Indian descent, and there still is a family in Auburn by the name of DAVID.His name is Milton David, Jericho Road Auburn , zip 13021 His Telephone no is 1-315-255-1203 Also His son is James David 1-315-776-5905 His address is 45 Green Street Port Byron New York. 13140 zip I found a Leonard David who died in 1960 age 77 who is buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Skaneatles.Section 9 lot 332 he died Dec. of 1960 Could your Grandfather has gone by his middle name? Did you check on line the Social Security Death Index? That would show all Henry DAVIDS , and the state they died in Since Social Security began in 1935, surely Henry DAVID is on it. Everyone signed up..... The 1920 Federal Census is now available at all big libraries. Look up Every Henry DAVID in all the US. I am begging for help here,my dad who is now 64 was abandoned by his father Henry Davids,when he was 5 years old.I have been searching this line for 4 years now and am at a brick wall.I cannot find any information on this line,and living in Indiana makes it impossible for NY research.We just found out dad has terminal Mestastic Lung Cancer and it has already spread to his brain.I promised him I would find info on his family before the Lord comes and takes him back home.If anyone has any info on the David/Davids line from Cayuga NY please help me out.Here is what I have so far and I dont even know if this is the right inforamtion.
