Amy - I am researching James Robinson in Cayuga County. I have a listing of his children. Not too much else. His daughter Sarah Ann Robinson m. Alvin Bates and they lived in Summerhill. Is this the family of Robinson's you are researching? I do have some more on it and if this is the family my cousin Ted Bates might have more. This is one time sweep through the affected counties. Delete if you already seen this on other NY lists. SAMPUBCO moved to new address and it's a new home all it's own. new home: http://www.sampubco.com You will need to bookmark this site because the search engines (altavista, dogpile, snap, etc) will not update their directories for 4 to 8 weeks or longer. Hello My Cummings family resided around Conquest and Butler-Savannah areas. The oldest that I know about was George who was born in Ireland in 1799 and died in 1853. He had at least 10 children with 2 wifes. The first was Betsey and the 2nd was Hannah. He and his first wife are buried in the old cemetery in Westbury. I am related through his oldest son John. John married Sarah Loisa vanDeusen and they had three daughters one which married Frank Roarke. If any of this is familiar I would be glad to share. Wes VanGraafeiland
Might as well throw this one out: Is anyone working on BINNINGS from England, father's name Jeremiah, steamboat captain on Erie Canal according to family tradition. Thanks! Marilyn Carlson, Placentia, CA

Hi Barbara: I have an Eliza Ball married William Cole (both of England) had Thomas, George and William Cole. 1850s Jim Guppy
Has anyone got surnames Ball, Raner, Banks in their Cayuga Co., NY records? Barbara
Kathi - I noticed Cummings as one of the names you are researching. I've got a really difficult brickwall that includes a Cummings. Or, at least, I think it does - I have conflicting information about this family which is making research even more difficult. I would sure appreciate receiving any information you might have that seems related to the following people (whose surnames appear in Cayuga records, but I haven't found the specific individuals - just probable relatives). George Cogswell m. to Clairana Cummings, had a daughter named Clarissa Cummings b. abt 1806 in NY. Clarissa m. Barney Bouck (b. abt 1800 NY) in NY, then they moved to OH>IL>IA. They are buried in IA. Other NY surnames related to these people: Sparling, Luckey/Lucky & Stacy/Stacey. Any of this sound familiar?
