I live in Michigan so have limited resources on Erie and Cattagaurus resources available to me. 1. William BAASE (b.1854-New York Harbor-New York State-Mecklenburg; d. 08 Mar 1946-East Otto, Cattaraugus Co., New York) William gives different places of birth over the years in the census but was naturalized in 1876 so Mecklenburg is the most likely place of birth. His suspected father (Joachim Dietrich) came to NY (West Seneca, NY) in 1865 from Mecklenburg. By 1880 Joachim had moved to Saginaw, Michigan. William was not listed in the 1870 Census with the rest of the family in West Seneca. Other possible spellings are Base, Basse, Baese, Baas, Baes and a slew more. 1880 - living in Buffalo 1900-1910 family says East Aurora or South Wales but haven't found in the censuses there. 1920- living in Gowanda 1930- living in Gowanda Spouse: Wilhemina UNKNOWN (b.
