I looking for information on the descendants of Russell Briggs, Jr. Russell was born June 4, 1811 in Yates County and died May 2, 1875 in Perrysburg. Russell married Susan Campbell and Lucy Press. Susan was born July 1, 1809 in Rensselearville near Albany and died March 18, 1855 in Perrysburg. Russell lived in Perrysburg in the census 1840-1875 except in 1850 when he was Hanover, Chautauqua County. Susan is a daughter of Hugh Campbell and Emma Holmes. Susan and Russell's siblings married each other Chancellor Campbell married Ann Briggs, and Walter Campbell married Eliza Briggs. The 1874-75 Cattaraugus County Directory and the 1879 History of Cattaraugus County say that Russell and Warren manufactured grain and corn cradles and that they owned a cider mill. Russell and Susan's children are Juila b. 1834 and Warren b. 1841. Warren married Hannah b. 1845. Warren and Hannah's children are Matie b. 1874 and Mina b. 1879. I don't know where Warren's family was after 1880. I haven't found them in the 1900 New York and Michigan Soundexes. Allan Campbell
