I have been told from my father that we are a descendants of two brothers who immigrated from "Prussia to avoid the war". I do not think it is Freidrich because it was reported that his children took on the spelling Recob. So I am eager to find Johann's Ancestry. There is about a hundred year gap between these immigrant brothers, and my identifiable ancestors. In 1880 Albert John Rehkopf married Abigale (Nellie) Griffith in Brighton, Washington Iowa.
