James married Mary Jane WADE in 1852, and had the following children: Henry James Nichols (1856-1857), Jannie M. Nichols, (1858-?), H. James Nichols (1859-?), and JOHN B. NICHOLS, born Jan 1, 1861. If you think this John could possibly be your ancestor, let me know and I'll get the bio to you. James Nichols, father of John, lived for some time in Farmersville as well as Carrolton. There is no other information specifically on James' son John in the bio. There is also a portrait of James Nichols.
