He had 9 children, 7 reached majority Found NO death records for him. 1.)Silas Nash SLAWSON, born Penn Yan, July7,1814;Aug.7,1904 came with his father, 1822, and settled in Nashville near his father, He married to Temperance Lurancy HOPKINS,. May 2,1817 died Apr.17,1888 dau. of Nathaniel HOPKINS, He has been a resident of both Perrysburg and Nashville, owning farms in both places. He has held several town offices, and was an active promoter of education. In early life he spent many years teaching, and was also a school examiner in PA. Silas N. And his wife , dau, Temperance, and a Lydia SLAWSON June 14,1762;Jan.20,184l are all buried Forestville Pioneer Cemetery, Children of Silas SLAWSON; a.)Newton, married to Rose BROWN, of Michigan, he also was a school teacher before his marriage, He made twice, applications for enlistment in the Civil War but was rejected because of physical disability. b.)Temperance, died infant,Dec.15,1845;Feb.11,1846 and c.)Samuel E. a merchant in Perrysburg. 2,)Samuel,3, Melissa wife of Roderick RIDER of Erie Co PA. 4.) Eliza, married John BETTIS, Hanover died April 21, 1848 ae 77y 6m Buried Nashville 5.)Daniel K 6..)Caroline, wife of Daniel MERRITT of Forestville, and 7. ) John, resides in Michigan Mr Ebenezer SLAWSON after the death of Betsey married Lois SPRAGUE, and had by her, 2 children, Ebenezer and Lola.
