They were my maternal great great grandparents. This summer while returning to Ohio, I stopped in South Valley and located several Laughlins in the cemetery including Rose McGinnis Laughlin. Per my family information, Leo Laughlins' grandfather, Barnard and my James were brothers. Would love to share more information with you. While reviewing the 1880 NY census for South Valley on ancestry.com, I found my James and Anna, their children Joseph, Davie, Margaret, James (my great grandfather), Christopher and Henry living with a Frank Colwell and Kate Ferrin -- do you know how these people relate to the Laughlins?
