They were married and living on State Street in Olean in 1930. They had a step-son William Harrington (or perhaps Dempsey) and an adopted daughter Helen Steele Dempsey. Helen may have been one of their neices. She is listed as Steele and neice in the 1920 census and Dempsey adopted daughter in 1930. They may have run a boarding house at one time. There were 2 boarders with them in 1920 Thanks for any information you have. Janet
